Ignite Team!!

Hey guys its Kaecey! So I set up this killer blog so we can stay connected and present the best worship experience possible and to show this school what worship really is! So I'm gonna have song lists for each month. (If you would like me to post the chords to the songs, let me know!) But there's gonna be links on the side to the songs we'll be learning, and your part is to help us choose the music. So if you have a superfantastical song that you think we could pull off, you can post the URL in the sidebar. If you have any suggestions on how we can better Unbroken's worship and make Ignite a better experience for everyone PLEASE SHARE!! That's what this is all about--community and working together to lead others into the presence of God. Also, if there was some constructive criticism you have for us, you can definitely leave an anonymous post!

Father God I just lift up this Ignite team to you and Lord I pray you would give us the confidence and the boldness to be the leaders you called us to be! That we would lead others into your presence! Please give us the tools we need to be amazing musicians in your name Amen!

Oh and if there's anything you think that would make this site better please don't hesitate to ask!

Encouragement =))

So you guys remember Kylon and his super pretty wifey Teliah from last years chapel?? Well I've been talking to them lately and theve told me some super encouraging words that i think could be used for all of us!

From Teliah: "What you're doing with your group is phenomenal and God is using you in great ways to further His kingdom. I hope you'll never doubt that!"

 From Kylon: "Also, thank you for doing what you're doing...for volunteering to do ministry at your school. Even when it doesn't seem like it you are most definitely making a positive impact in this city, and you are without a doubt helping to spread the kingdom of God on this earth. That's amazing!"

To me this really made a diffrence! Ok so i was talking to a pastor about how i feel our worship is and like we tihnk its not making an impact. But were wrong. EVen though we cant see it at least its making a diffrence in ONE persons like and thats worth all the work we did! Lets strive to make a differnce in everyones worship...that indcludes ourselves. We cant lead others into Gods presence if were not going into it ourselves...they can only go as far as we are. Alot of pressure...this is the Kingdom of God were talking about and we shouldnt take this litely!

Believe

Ok so i stole this from Nick Jonas but i feel like God wants someone to hear this right now :)) tell me what you think!

There are times when we are incredibly overwhelmed, and we start to question what will happen next, or if we could continue moving forward. Sometimes it's hard to deal with so many things at once, but it's all about taking it one day at a time, and not letting it get to you. At times, I tend to focus too much on what goes on around me or what I'm doing rather than myself and that can be a bit challenging at times because you're getting things thrown at you, and often times you just need to take a moment to yourself and just space out for a while. Some things in life are out of our hands, and as much as we want to fix things; we can't. That's when we put it in God's hands believing that it'll be okay. We might not always comprehend what the purpose behind something is but what matters is that our Lord Jesus Christ does. "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song."

If you're reading this blog, it's for a reason. Today I felt the need to reach out to you all and leave you with this encouraging message. God is good, never forget that. Sometimes I just sit down and think to myself, "what am I going to do next? How long will this certain problem persist?"..but in the midst of all that doubt, I can feel the presence of the Lord, and somehow; my heart feels peaceful. That's why I want to encourage you to take that step, tell the Lord what you're feeling. Don't be afraid to tell him your burdens, your dreams, and your aspirations. Above all, he is your Father and wants the best for you.

A lot of times, we don't even know what we want for ourselves. We incessantly make the same mistakes because we forget that God knows what is best. Whatever it is that you desire in life, ask God. That's the most important thing. Sometimes it's hard to do because of all the obscurity that surrounds us, but don't be afraid. Fear is nothing but an obstacle. Now here's my question, can you overcome that obstacle? Some say that we can be our own enemy, and I've got to say that they are making a point. A lot of times we don't allow ourselves to be happy, simply because we're afraid, frustrated, or exhausted. We get so bitter that we even hurt ourselves, which only causes more pain. Despite all of things that surround us, we should never give up. Another obstacle are the people that surround us. Be on the lookout as to who you hang out with, not everyone is honest. Sincerity is such an admirable trait, and finding someone who truly cares about you is rare.

Well, I have to get off for now, but I hope you all have an amazing day. I love you all!

-Nick
